One word to describe our assembly is simply: Cognizant. We are people who realize we have made mistakes, failed and know that bad decisions and sin can overwhelm all of us. In the life of Jesus Christ, the love of God is discovered. We recognize we have been given answers to relieve the weight of sin and bring clarity to the meaning of our lives. At the Family of Life, we are NOT here to make life more complicated, but to share the knowledge and experiences we've received and do it in love. Here are the essential beliefs/doctrines of FOL 1. The Bible correctly expresses our need and focus for every life. (2 Timothy 3:16) 2. We must believe that God exists and that He rewards and blesses everyone that searches for Him. (Hebrews 11:6) 3. Faith is alive and real when we actively live in obedience to the Bible. It's not only what a person believes and holds inside, but how he/she lives out those b(James 2:14-18) 4. Repentance is what the Lord calls us to do after we believe. (Matthew 4:17; Acts 17:30) 5. It is promised by God that we are to be filled with new life, His Holy Spirit. (Joel 2:28; Acts 1:8, 2:38) 6. We have a new purpose and understanding in life to live right. And we can! (1 John 5:18; Colossians 1:22-23; Philippians 4:8)
